He is survived by: his wife San Juanita G. Garza; his son Ralph Martin Garza, Jr.; his grandson Andrew Garza; his cousins, Thelma Rodriguez (Carlos), Elaine Perez (Robert), Sandra Delgado (Mario, Jr.), Karl Wilson (Debbie), Carol Schunter (George) and James Wilson (Larry); and his friend Oscar Martinez.
