With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph L. Schane in Corpus Christi, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt Joseph Schane and Dorothy Mae Schane (Turner); his wife Carol Jean Schane (Ward); and his brother Vannoy Schane. He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Jean Oelschlegel (Joe) and Frances Jean Jenkins (Kenny); his grandchildren, Jessie Whittleman (Johnny), Daniel Oelschlegel (Alyson), Samuel Oelschlegel (Blaine), Kara Yost (Josh), Kenny Jenkins (Alexandria) and Tayler Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Miles, Kason, Gage, Ashlyn, Dane, Hayes, Gracen, Ava, Cole, Micah, Niko and Alden; his sister Mary Lou Leon (Vic); and his cousin Darrell Schane (Georgann). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (121 N Duval St, Mathis, TX 78368). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery (9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410).
