She is survived by: her parents, Harry Horton and Sylvia Horton; her spouse Richard Akers; her sister Kathleen Maier (Charles); her daughter-in-law Regina Akers; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Jones, Ashlie Wolber, Chelsea Akers and Michael Akers.
