She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Reyna and Hermila Reyna; and her siblings, Al Reyna, Alice Cervantes and Delia Sahadi.

She is survived by: her husband Byron Wheeler; her daughters, Dayna Grace Shaffer (James) and Denise Hermila Gmach (Steven); and her grandsons, John Byron Shaffer and Nathan Lee Shaffer.
