In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary Lou Parker is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Lou Parker and George Parker; her husband Robert Crowl; her granddaughters, Amber Jones, Emma Hawkins and Susan Moran; her stepchildren, Dennis Crowl (Carmen) and Robin McQuary; and her niece Laura Myers. She was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Seaside Funeral Home (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412).

“Mary Lou and I were colleagues for over 25 years at Del Mar College. We were hired one day apart in August 1983. We shared an office suite in the Memorial Building for a decade. Dr. Crowl was the first PhD in the Computer Science department and led on many curriculum initiatives, such as multimedia programming. She raised a wonderful family single-handed until she paired up with Robert. The original independent working woman in many circles. She was a vivacious soul who loved life.”
