He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Alfred and Lela Ellen Johnson; his wife Ida Mae; and his son George. He is survived by: his children, Vivian Hess, Benjamin Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Theresa Kelley, Patrick Johnson, Rosemary Moerbe and Emily Payne. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
