He was predeceased by: his parents, Esperanza Lerma and Jesus Lerma, Sr.; his father-in-law Ventura Ramirez, Sr.; his sister Hortencia "Tencha" Flores; his brother-in-law John Flores; his brother Jesse Lerma; and his granddaughter Lily Faith Gracia.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Lerma; his children, Jose Lerma, Jr. (Dina), Linda Esperanza Gracia (Cesar) and Laura Ariel Lerma (David); his grandchildren, Joseph Lerma, Isaac Flores, Matthew Lerma, Cesar Gracia, Jr., Elizabeth Anne Gutierrez, Laurianne Gutierrez and Rhys Zarate; and his great grandchild Joseph Lerma, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
