We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2024, at the age of 98, Jo Whitley (Corpus Christi, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jo departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jo. Though Jo may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie Dumas and Frank Dumas; her sister-in-law Margaret Whitley; her daughter-in-law Kay Whitley; and also, Benny and Max.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Whitley (Rosalie) and Linda Al-Ammar (Jasem); her grandchildren, Wesley Whitley (Donna), Brandi Kutil (Charlie), Talal Al-Ammar (Hanan) and Layla Al-Ammar; and her sister-in-law Jackie Whitley. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
