She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Purdue and Irene Purdue of Bluefield; her sisters, Jackie McGuirk and Doris Wiley; her husband Bill Southern; her stepdaughter Andria Smith; and her nephew Ron McGuirk.
She is survived by: her nephews, Gary McGuirk, Mike McGuirk, Guy Wiley, Jr. and Mark Wiley; her stepdaughter Tonia Woolever; her stepgrandchildren, Shawn and Gabriele; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Christian, Jeremy and Sydney. She is also survived by nine great-nephews and nieces; fourteen great-grand nephews and nieces.
