He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Dolores Riojas, James Doyle McSpadden and Gilbert L. Riojas. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Martinka Riojas; his daughter Rylynn Sara Riojas of Corpus Christi; his parents, Bettina Lynn McSpadden and Gilbert J. Riojas, Jr. of Austin; his sisters, Jamie Riojas (Jackson) of Austin, Blue of Austin, Maddie Hall of Austin, Caitlin Riojas (Tyler Canon) of Austin and Ryan Riojas of Austin; his grandmother Ouida Schliesing; and also Tom Schliesing of Uvalde.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Seaside Funeral Home (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (3350 S Alameda St, Corpus Christi, TX 78411).
