He was predeceased by: his parents, Filiberto Garcia Sr. and Consuelo Robles Garcia; his sister Esther; and his brothers-in-law, Ernest De Los Santos, Celestino Villarreal and Ernest Moreno.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Bazan Garcia; his children, Iliana Renee Garcia and Sergio Rene Garcia; and his siblings, Ita Garcia (Raul), Dora Villareal, Celia Moreno of San Antonio and Robert Garcia (Luz) of Austin.
