He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorene Matson and Francis Matson; and his brother Dale Matson. He is survived by: his son David Matson; his daughter-in-law Barbara Hanks Matson; his grandson David Matson III; the mother of his child Maria Reyes; and his sister Sandra Matson Wright.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Treviño Funeral Home (3006 Niagara St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405). A prayer will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410).
