She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Haas Bluhm of Chapman Ranch and Julius M. Bluhm; her brothers, Wilton and Dudley Bluhm (Evelyn Bluhm); and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Bluhm (Dudley Bluhm) and Leslie Faurie.

She is survived by: her sister Wanda Faurie of Blanco.

Bibi Nava Robertson wrote a sympathy message

“I worked with Darnelle at the YWCA. She really was a “JOY” to see each day; I loved her smile and enjoyed talking with her through out the day. She always offered me encouragement and she believed in me. She had such a beauty within her and outside; I wish I had been able to hear her sing more - an incredible voice. We kept in touch with birthday messages, and I will remember her on her birthday. Maddie Robertson”
