She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Lee and John Hawkins; and her sister Ann Schulz (Jerry Byrd). She is survived by: her husband Jerry Byrd; her nieces, Terri Guidry of Baton Rouge and Melanie O'Flaherty (Jim) of Dallas; and her caregivers, Leeandra Villarreal, Reyes Coronado and Gayle McGregor.
