William Allen James Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Allen James in Copperas Cove, Texas, born in Afton, Michigan, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Klingaman Ostrander and William Arthur James; and his sisters, Patricia Alice James Lewis and Mary Elizabeth James Bossom. He is survived by: his wife Marlis James; his daughters, Vickie Pease, Christine James (Charles Buck) and Karen Longoria (Dino Longoria); his grandchildren, Jackie Summers, Jamie Reedy, Michael Longoria, Christopher Longoria, Brandon Longoria and Megan Longoria; and his siblings, Robert James and Margaret Ann James Duffy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Viss Family Funeral Home (1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
