He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Raymond Callahan and Verna Viola Sharpe Callahan; and his siblings, Lloyd A. Hoard, Jr., William J. Hoard, Lowell D. Callahan, Sr. and Karen Manning.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Lara; his sister Brenda Graley (Danny); and his stepson Alfredo Lara. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
