James Calvin Whitcomb Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Calvin Whitcomb Jr. (Copperas Cove, Texas), born in Rome, New York, who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Butch; his nephew David A. Wallace, Jr.; and his sister Kathy Jo Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Post; his children, Michael Whitcomb (Erin) of Canastota, Corey Whitcomb (Katie Savoy) of Chittenango, Katie Whitcomb of Canastota, Brittany Whitcomb (Fernando Cisneros) of Lampasas, TX, Jessica Whitcomb (Kaitlyn) of Ft. Stewart, GA and James Whitcomb, III (Bailey) of Hinesville, GA; his mother Joyce Whitcomb of Oneida; his sisters, Robyn Barbano (Mark) of Oneida and Terry Maphia (Paul) of Oneida; his brother-in-law Chad Wallace of Oneida; his father-in-law Jerry Post of Hemet, CA; and his brother-in-law Richard Post (Brigette) of Corpus Christi, TX. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, graveside services with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
