With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Lyman Nelson Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, born in Orange, Texas, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack L. Sr. Nelson and Reba Petty Nelson; and his brothers, Mike, Jim and Billy Wayne Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Burgess of Copperas Cove; his brother Jerry Nelson (Lou) of Tomball, TX; and his stepchildren, Tony Anders of Baytown, TX and Christine Morris of Leander, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 1001 Georgetown Rd, Copperas Cove, TX 76522, in memory of Jack Nelson.
