She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lee Brown and Lillie May Corbin Brown; her husband James Bernard Hicks Sr. (Jimmy); her daughter Kathy Jean Phillips; and her great grandchild Hope Fischer.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Kovach (Robert), Betty Lou Fischer (Joseph), James Bernard Hicks Jr. (Barbara) and Linda Sue; and her grandchildren, Bobby Kovach (Tammy), Theresa Brooks (Eric), Betty Tayman (Albert), Joseph Fischer Jr., Wendy Cator (Robert), James B. Hicks III (Allie), Richard Hicks, Linda, Tracy Watts (Jeff), Samantha Leatherwood (David), Crystal O'Neill (John) and Jimmy McMullen.
