With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn James of Coppell, Texas, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 20, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Ralph James Christman and Evelyn Hickman Christman; her spouse McCauley Mercer James (Mac); her brother Ralph James Christman, Jr.; and her stepsons, William Henry James (Will) and David Malcolm James.
She is survived by: her children, Gary F. LeGros, Jr. (Susan), Clay Justin LeGros (Elizabeth), Mark Christman LeGros (Rhonda) and Evelyn LeGros Miller (Kenny); her grandchildren, Gary F. LeGros, III (Geoff), Katherine Pearson LeGros, Ashley Elizabeth LeGros, Elizabeth Jane LeGros, Dr. Clay Justin LeGros, Jr. (Teresa), Mark Christman LeGros, Jr., Renee Marie LeGros, Kenneth Ray Miller, III (Brittney) and Evelyn Shannon Miller; her great grandchildren, Fisher Potts LeGros and Rowan Bennett LeGros; and her stepchildren, McCauley Mercer James, Jr. (Mackie), Doris Elise James and Nancy Gail James. She is also survived by her friends and her family.
