He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Maddox and Clarice "Pendergrass" Maddox; his brother Tommy G. "Nub" Maddox; and his nephew Ron Maddox. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Austin (Steve) and Michelle Taylor (Jason); his grandchildren, Drake Howard and Jenson Taylor; his niece Dawn Moody; and also John Maddox.
