She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Roy Carpenter and Frances Carpenter (Dyar); her husband Albert V. Freeman; her sons, Kevin Freeman, Jeff Alexander, John Alexander (Butch) and Albert V. Freeman, Jr.; her siblings, Dorothy Carpenter-Epps, Wanda Carpenter, Sonny Carpenter, Dale Carpenter, Jerry Carpenter and Kerry Carpenter; and her great grandchild Jacksyn Rubee Webber.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Grimes (John), Joanna Freeman, Sandy Dunson and Russell Freeman; and her sister-in-law Beverly Carpenter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
