It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Robert Whitsel Sr. of Cookville, Texas, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Roscoe Whitsel and Callie Idel Whitsel (Morrow); his sister Roberta; his brother-in-law Ray Lokker; and his sister Donna.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Whitsel (Smith) of Cookville, Texas; his sons, Harry Whitsel, Jr. of Cookville, Texas and Danny; his daughter-in-law Crystal Whitsel of Gassville, Arkansas; his daughters, Machell (Chris Borg) and Karen (J. R. Branson); his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Betty Whitsel of Mount Pleasant, Texas; his brother John Whitsel of Winnsboro, Texas; and his brother-in-law Bob McMann of Dayton, Ohio.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
