He is survived by: his wife Norma Taylor-Cox of Cookville, TX; his children, Byron Cox (Janet) of McKinney, TX and Melanie Gutierrez (Joseph) of San Antonio, TX.; his grandchildren, Ketelyn Cox, Carolyn Cox, Kamryn Gutierrez, Allyson Gutierrez, Morgan Gutierrez and Meagan Gutierrez; his siblings, Edwin Cox Jr., Wayne Cox, Judy Wright (Colton) and Sherri Franklin (Billy); his brother-in-law Jimmie Davis (Jackie); and his nieces and nephews, Nicole (Jay Jones), Chase (Keva Wright), Cassi (Ty Walden), Selby Franklin, Logan Franklin, Brad (Courtney Davis) and Campbell Davis (Claire Davis).
