He is survived by: his children, Orlando Cardenas, Marco Cardenas, Abel Cardenas III and Celina Cardenas; the mother of his children Lisa Magallanes; and his siblings, Steven, Noel, Jacob Cardenas, Lydia Dillard and Barbara Gadbois. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
