He is survived by: his wife Connie Taylor Davis; his siblings, George Davis and Chlotiel Phelps; his children, Walter Don Davis III (Beverly Reese Davis), Dorothy Shane Davis and Tammy Lynn Clark; his adoptive son Paul Davis; his sons, Paul Don and Joshua Davis; and also, Nicholas Davis, Chris Davis, Derek Pettus, Sterling Shelly Pettus Scroggins, Michael Don Birchard, Hannah Clark Hayes, Ashley Clark Salinas and Stephen Hal Culli. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
