He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Dwain James and Laura Virginia James (Titus). He is survived by: his wife Christina James; his children, William Christlieb, Larry Don Stevens and Lora James; his grandchildren, Anthony Duckworth and Elizabeth VanBergen-Christlieb; and his brothers, Jackie and Roger James.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eickenhorst Funeral Services (12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, TX 77304). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
