She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles William and Stella Fonville (Fletcher); her husband John Shelby Dodd; her son Rudy Lee Dodd; and her brothers, A. F. Fonville and A. O. Fonville.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Dodd (Leesa) of Clarksville, Randy Dodd (Tina) of The Woodlands, Roger Dodd of New Caney, Texas and Rhonda Patterson (Joe Rex) of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
