Benitez of Concepcion, Texas, born in San Diego, Texas, who passed away on April 10, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Florencio Maldonado Sr.; and her grandparents, Filomeno, Grabiela Vela, Jose Maria and Juanita Maldonado.
She is survived by: her husband Leopoldo Benitez; her daughters, Rachel Carrillo (Arnoldo), Renee A. Cantu (Nathan Serna), Ruby A. Garcia (Andy) and Clarisa Benitez (Miguel Gonzalez); her stepchildren, Faustino B. Servin, Maria Luisa B. Servin, Polo Sanchez and Jay Sanchez; her mother Zulema V Maldonado; her siblings, Ernesto Maldonado (Lucy), Florencio Maldonado, Roberto Maldonado (Olga), Noemi Garcia (Guate), Riva Maldonado (Abel Barrientez) and Diana Lamar Vela (Roel); and her grandchildren, Austin R. Serna, Allison J. Carrillo, Jason A. Garcia, Joseph T. Serna, Alexis J. Carrillo, Savannah N. Serna of Aubrey, A. J, Miguel A. Gonzalez, Amanda R. Carrillo, Maximiliano Gonzalez and Alejandro R. Carrillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
