He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherblon Barrett and Rachel Barrett (Hicks). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth JoAnne Barrett; his children, Jimmy Barrett (Stacey) and Kim Petty (Clinton); his stepchildren, Tracy Rodriguez (Joe), Kenneth Caldwell (Jamie) and Jonathan Caldwell (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Breck Barrett (Shay), Brooke Barrett and Bryce Barrett; his stepgrandchildren, Austin Rodriguez, Ashley McQueen, Sarah Caldwell, Lydia Caldwell, Samuel Caldwell, Isaiah Caldwell, Jeremiah Caldwell, Claire Caldwell, Luke Caldwell and Jude Caldwell; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Charlotte Walker and Grace Walker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murray - Orwosky Funeral Home (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenpond Cemetery (1911 Co Rd 2324, Como, TX 75431).
