He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Merrell and Katie Ruth Sewell (Brooks); and his brother Sherrill Allen Sewell. He is survived by: his sons, Scotty Sewell, Chris Sewell and Brent Sewell; his grandchildren, Justin Scott Sewell, Hayden David Sewell and Grayson Joe Sewell; his great grandchild Nala Nicole Sewell; his nephew Roger Don Sewell; and his niece Lana York.
