He was predeceased by: his parents, Coe Edgar Matlock and Nellie Mae Rushing Matlock; his wife Naomi Lauderdale; and his siblings, Clovy Cagle, Doris Faye Moses, Ruby Nell Easley, Carl Ray Matlock, Ted Matlock and Joe Matlock.
He is survived by: his son Harold Wayne Matlock Jr.; his siblings, Gladys Mae Goss, Jerry Matlock (Joanna), Johnny Matlock and Herbert Matlock; and his granddaughter Leslie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
