He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee John and Virgie Kate Conner John; and his siblings, Preston, Robert, Harry John and Shirley John.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann; his children, James Robert John (Michela Ippolito) of Toronto, Canada and Erin Kathleen Swinson (Gaylen) of Commerce; his grandchildren, Payton, Lana, Josey Swinson, Martina and Matteo Ippolito John; his sister Virginia Tarver (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Gena Vee John and Jim Harford (Rose). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
