He is survived by: his wife Janie Smith; his sons, Bradley and Jay Smith; his stepchildren, Brandon Smith, Eric Perez (Crystal), Krissy Po (Ryan) and Sarah Yeley (Jeffry); his sisters, Betty Tacker (Jerry) and Sandra Maddox (Robert); and his grandchildren, Paige, Lucas, Faith, Grace, Mason, Brooklyn, Jonah, Sidney and Luke.
Memorials in his name may be given to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in lieu of flowers.
