It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arlene Lightsey of Comfort, Texas, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Cade and Ruby Young Cade; her son Larry Thrash; her siblings, Mary Jo, Paul, Virginia, Herb and Burt; and her shamelessly spoiled dachshund Jasmine.
She is survived by: her daughter Lana Thrash Biermann (Karl); her grandchildren, Kendall and Erich; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Lightsey (Vicki). She is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to the Kendall County Women's Shelter, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Comfort Volunteer Fire Department, or the charity of your choice.
