She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Carter (Buck) and Ophelia Schrader; and her husband Wayland Abbey. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Jennings of Brownwood, Twyla Henry (Waylon) of Stephenville and Michael Abbey (Debbie) of Comanche; her sister-in-law Mary Abbey; and her close friend Bobby. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.
