He is survived by: his wife Janis Chappell; his sons, Carl Chappell (Sheryl) of Snyder and Darrell Chappell (Shayla) of Sweetwater, Texas; his grandchildren, Cody Chappell of San Angelo, Texas, Lacy Minchew (Stephen) of Lubbock, Texas, Murphy Chappell (Alex) of McKinney, Texas, Jacob Chappell (Paige) of Abilene, Texas, Harrison Chappell (Haley) of Ira and Mallory Chappell of Sweetwater, Texas.; his great grandchildren, Analia, Amado Chappell of Ballinger, Texas, Liam Minchew of Lubbock and D. J. Chappell of Abilene, Texas; and his sister Thelma McGhee of Leander. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
