He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Urban and Leona Schobel Urban; his brother Lawrence Urban (Henrietta); his brother-in-law Edwin Kainer; and his grandson Kolby Kulhanek.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Marie Salas; his children, Michelle Kulhanek (Gary), Michael Urban (Tibbie) and Russell Urban; his sister Irene Kainer of Weimar; and his grandchildren, Kim Ficarra (Joey), Kyle Urban (Diane), Cade Urban (Jenn), Chad Kulhanek (Bailey), Ryan Kulhanek (Mandi), Sean Kulhanek (Katy), Kylie Urban (Aleck) and Kaitlyn Urban. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
