He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Joseph Laake and Angela Laake (Schneider); his wife Agnes Laake; and his son Stephen Laake. He is survived by: his children, Paula M. Laake of Columbus and Michael A. Laake (Kelly) of Weimar; his sisters, Eileen Hand (Al) of Anchorage and Patricia Tolbert (Don) of Great Bend, Kansas; and his grandsons, Andrew, Michael and Kenny. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Henneke Funeral Home (1515 Montezuma St, Columbus, TX 78934). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (1602 Bowie St, Columbus, TX 78934).
