She is survived by: her husband Chester Carter of Columbus, TX; her daughter Gina Marie Carter (Tandy) of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Christopher Carter of Brooklyn, NY and Major Chester Thomas Carter of Quantico, VA; and her siblings, Mary Temple (Cornelius Alton Temple) of Galveston, TX, Theresa Adams (Leo Adams) of Houston, TX, Robert Burford (Yvonne) of Raleigh, NC and Larry Burford (Brenda) of Divine, TX. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
