He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Zatopek (Jones); and his parents, Rudolph Zatopek and Julia Zatopek (Krenek). He is survived by: his daughters, Mary E. Zatopek of Selina, KS, Barbara Z. Dickhaus (Tom) of Mercer Island, WA and Julie Z. Hart (David) of Baton Rouge, LA; his brother Thomas Zatopek (Marvadean) of Columbus, TX; and his grandchildren, Katherine Dickhaus, Erin M. Hart, Alissa D. Hart and Emily M. Hart.
