She was predeceased by: her husband Hugo H. Schertz; her parents, Ewald Schneider and Hilda Schneider; and her brothers, Roy Schneider and Ewald I. "Bobby" Schneider.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Willis (Ben) of Frelsburg, TX and Robert L. Schertz (Carol A.) of Frelsburg, TX; her brother Cleo Schneider (Madeline) of La Grange, TX; her grandchildren, Shannon Hoover (Tim), Laurie Winship (Philip), Amber Zapalac (Paul) and Rachel Kozel (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Cody Winship, Ethan Hoover, Kaleb Zapalac, Kynslee Zapalac and Rebecca Kozel.
