He was predeceased by: his parents, G. E. Drescher and Margaret Aloise Drescher (Ulrich); his wife Linda McKnight Drescher; his brother Roy Drescher (Janet Drescher); his in-laws, Wilburn "Shorty" and Joyce McKnight; and his brother-in-law Bryan McKnight.

He is survived by: his nephew Shane; his daughter Kristie Weaver; and his sister Patricia "Pat" Mackey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
