He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Berger and Hattie Berger (Glueck); his wife Bobbie Berger; his son Robert Berger; and the parents of child, Emmett and Hattie Berger.
He is survived by: his sister Earline Drumm (Leonard) of Mentz; and his children, Barbara Blankenship (David) of Alleyton, Mark Berger (Gloria) of Corpus Christi, Sandy Mosley (Barry) of Columbus, Susan Faucett of Killeen, Jody Berger (Carol) of Harker Heights and Amy Millsap (James) of Harker Heights. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
