He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome A. Ruether and Angelina V. Ruether (Mascheck); his wife Linda Ruether; his sisters, Janie Lange and Angeline Welch; his parents-in-law, Linda and Norbert Blezinger; his siblings-in-law, Norbert Blezinger, Jr., Gary Hohlt, Emmit Lange, Mary Hohlt and Bertha Ruether; and also Henry Ruether.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Ruether, Christina Stolarski (David) and Elizabeth Zwiener (Douglas); his grandchildren, Phillip Ruether, Derek Stolarski (Catherine), Luke Stolarski, Trent Whittington (Morgan) and Elise Zwiener; and his siblings, Leroy Ruether, Chester Ruether (Maxine), Ronnie Ruether, Clarice Wagner and Debbie Ripper (Jack). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Parish Prayer Service and Rosary. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church - Frelsburg (1031 Church Ln, New Ulm, TX 78950).
