She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Salem (Hartman) and John Peter Salem; and her son Greg Allen Staton. She is survived by: her husband Perry Staton of Columbus; her son Gary Staton (Sandy) of Columbus; her siblings, John S. Salem Jr. of Marble Falls, Glenn Salem of Marble Falls and Glenda Bays of Cypress; her grandchildren, Jason Staton, Jenny Staton, Ben Staton and Christen Staton; and her great grandchildren, Emma Kate Staton, Even Staton and Easton Staton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors (5200 W Parkway St, Groves, TX 77619). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, TX 77619).
