He is survived by: his children, Gloria Jean Ruether (C. J.) of Columbus, Shirley Ann Sodolak (David) of Brenham and Allen Wayne Huelsebusch (Terri) of Brenham; his grandchildren, Keith Ruether (Tammy), Kevin Ruether (Tammy), Kenn Ruether (Jennifer), Misty Gaskamp, John McCaleb, Lacy Wright (Brian) and Alex Huelsebusch; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Gaskamp (Brittney Martin), Brenna Ruether, Meagan Ruether, Zack Ruether, Von Ruether, Luke Ruether, Rachel Jane Ruether, Brelynn Wright and Baylor McCaleb; and his stepchildren, Janet Schwarz (Phillip), Larry Laffere (Janee), Stephen Niemtschk (Lourie), Lou Biar (Billy) and Pam Yurk (Robert). He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
