She was predeceased by: her husband James Everett Upshaw, Sr.; her parents, John Land and Bethel Land; and her sister Betty Wesley. She is survived by: her children, Becky Dempsey (Bobby), James Upshaw Jr. (Kathy), Mary Thackerson (Rex) and Penny Brittain (Howard); and her siblings-in-law, Jack Wesley and Gloria Burnett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
