With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Thornton of Colmesneil, Texas, who passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Hamilton and Hettie Myrtle (Thornton); his wife Jo Ann Gilmer Thornton; his grandson Richard Toby Rico; and his brothers, Lloyd, O. C. and Farrell Thornton.
He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Driver; his children, Mark Thornton, Johnnie Thornton and Donna Thornton McGrew; his grandchildren, Joanna Rico and Josh Carnley; his great grandchild Johnzie; his grandchild Kyle Lalumandier (Christi); his great grandchild Landon; and his grandson Robert Loke McGrew. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
