He is survived by: his wife Martha Mitchon; and his children, Anthony Mitchon (Maureen), Keith Mitchon, Melvin Mitchon, Jr., Debra Sermons (David), Cynthia Stewart, Beverly Jefferson (Chris), Gwen Killingsworth, Cecilia Sterling (Steve), Michelle Martin (Scott), Myra Parrish (Allen) and Vivian Davis (Leonard). He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and other family members and friends.
